Description

This Cast Iron Drain Pipe Anti-Flood Trunk Valve has commendable strength and high crush resistance. From the Timesaver system, which is ideal for unstable ground and drainage under buildings, this product offers superior performance and a 150mm diameter.

Suited to the disconnection of chambers and tidal outfalls, this valve features a cast iron body and valve seating. It is also equipped with a polystyrene float that is attached to a brass pivot rod, a stainless steel flap faced with a rubber seal, and a bolted cover, also with a rubber seal.

Due to the valve and float being fixed to one brass spindle in adjoining chambers divided by baffles, water can enter, but solids are prohibited. In regular circumstances, the valve sits away from the sewage, but if there is a rise in flood water, the float will move with it, and the valve will shut. As the water drains out and cleans the valve, the float will drop, and at the same time, the valve will rise.

Please note:

  • The 1" BSP float vent is delivered plugged. The plug needs to be removed, and a vent pipe carried upwards to a height and so positioned to prevent the transmission of foul air that may be prejudicial to health or a nuisance. Valves are sold at customers' risk and without guarantee. Valves undergo checks before despatch. No liability can be accepted post-installation. It is advised that valves are serviced before the start of each wet season or at least twice a year.
