Equipped with push-fit fittings for easy installation without additional wrapping, this Westwood SLA Barrier Pipe is ideal for safe water distribution where contaminated ground is present. With its multi-layer construction, the pipe consists of a 25mm black PE100 inner core, a middle layer of double-bonded aluminium and an outer layer of blue PE100 featuring brown identification stripes and extra protection.
While the inner black PE layer and outer blue PE layer allow for easy identification and make any damage to the pipe during installation apparent, the inclusion of the middle aluminium layer serves to effectively block the infiltration of heavy metals, inorganic substances, and hydrocarbons from the ground into drinking water supplies. This way, it ensures the safe transportation of potable water even through contaminated land.
