Description

From Shire, this overlap apex shed has many windows down one side of the building to provide plenty of light to the interior. Its design also features a generous eaves height and double doors for ease of access to the entire space. To quicken the assembly of the doors, they are fitted with a hasp and staple catch, ready for your padlock to be fitted. The non-opening windows also feature safety glazing and can be fitted on either side.

Quality is maintained by ensuring the wall panels of this shire overlap shed are manufactured from high-grade, slow-grown, FSC Certified timber. The building has also been dip treated in a base coat, ready to add a top coat after assembly. In contrast, the roof and floor are manufactured from solid sheet OSB. Regardless, as a Shire shed, the structure features strong 34mm square framing and is complete with a fixing kit, roof felt and installation instructions.

  • The imperial measurements are rounded, so please refer to the metric sizes for precision. Allowances for the roof overhang and access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment must be made. When you've finished your order, a link will be sent to you where you will need to choose your delivery day. Live tracking information will be received on the morning of the delivery day.
  • Base note:
  • Before assembling the building, the base must be flat, level and square to a sufficient size, whether a concrete or paving slab base or on bearers. Soil, grass or gravel are not suitable as they will move with the weight of a building. This ensures the building is level and stable, preventing excess strain on the panels that could lead to twisting and long-term damage. A level building also means the panels will fit squarely together to avoid gaps and ensure doors close correctly.
  • Timber note:
  • Pine is the most commonly used timber for garden buildings. Shire building construction uses high-quality spruce under strict FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine, providing a higher-quality finish. The timber is slow grown to encourage a tighter grain, less sap and far fewer knots and warping occurs. Slight splits or 'shakes' may sometimes be seen in the timber. These are normal and will not affect the garden building's performance.
  • Delivery is restricted to mainland England and Wales. If you are unsure whether your postcode is excluded, please call us to confirm.
