The Shire Pressure Treated Planed Timber Log Box is a practical and tidy way to store your logs.Measuring approximately 4ft by 2ft and 1ft 10" high, this planed finish timber log box features a hinged lid and slatted sides.

The wall panels of this Shire log store are made from high quality FSC Certified timber. The planed pressure treated timber gives a long life with minimum maintenance although the store can still be painted or stained for decoration.All Shire wooden stores feature strong 34mm square framing and come complete with fixing kit.

Imperial measurements are rounded so please refer to the metric sizes for accuracy. Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and for access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment. Following your order, you will be sent a link to choose your delivery day. On the morning of delivery day you will also receive live tracking information. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building.
Base note:
Please ensure that your base is flat, level and square whether this is a concrete or paving slab base or on bearers. This ensures the building is level and stable and prevents excess strain on the panels that could lead to twisting / long term damage. The building staying level also means the panels will fit squarely together, prevent gaps and ensuring doors close correctly.
Timber note:
A good quality timber garden building starts with good quality timber. The most commonly used timber for garden buildings is pine. Shire buildings are constructed using high quality spruce under strict FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and provides a higher quality finish. The timber is slow grown which means a tighter grain, less sap and with far less knots and warping occurring. In some cases, slight splits or 'shakes' may be seen in the timber. These are normal and will not affect the performance of your Garden Building.
