Description

With a delightfully traditional feel, this compact Shire Houghton summerhouse presents a stunning veranda that creates the perfect place for alfresco dining. Including half-glazed doors to the front and two matching fixed windows on either side for extra light, it would make a fantastic addition to your garden.

Featuring strong 34mm square framing, this Shire Houghton summerhouse comes complete with roof felt, a fixing kit and assembly instructions. The building is dip treated with a base coating which is ready for you to add a topcoat after installation while the wall panels are constructed from slow-grown, high-grade FSC Certified timber. The floor is tongue and groove timber, and the roof is fabricated from solid board.

Please note:

  • The imperial measurements are rounded so please refer to the metric sizes for accuracy. You should make an allowance for the roof overhang and for access around the exterior during assembly and following treatment. After you have ordered, you will be sent a link to select your delivery day. On the morning of delivery, you will also be sent live tracking information.
  • Base note:
  • Before you fit your building, you will require a base which is level and flat to an adequate size. Soil, grass or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of the building. Please make sure your base is level, flat and square whether this is on bearers, a paving slab or a concrete base. This ensures your building is level and stable and inhibits excess strain on the panels that could lead to long-term damage/twisting. The building staying level also means the panels will fit squarely together, ensuring the doors close properly and preventing gaps.
  • Timber note:
  • A good quality timber garden building starts with great quality timber. The most regularly used timber for garden buildings is pine. Shire buildings are manufactured using spruce under strict FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidance. Spruce is more resilient than pine and offers a higher-quality finish. The timber is slow grown which ensures far less warping and knots, a tighter grain and less sap. In some circumstances, 'shakes' or slight splits might be seen in the timber. These are normal and will not alter the performance of your garden building.
  • Delivery is restricted to mainland England and Wales. If you are unsure whether your postcode is excluded, please call us to confirm.
