Description

Measuring 7ft x 10ft, this Barraca shiplap apex shed by Shire is a grand shed with much storage opportunity. The canopy is a charming variation of the classic apex style of shed, offering an attractive design that highlights the shed's appearance. A single door enables access in and out of the shed and is fitted with a pad bolt. The design also features a storm-resistant opening joinery window, ensuring ventilation and lighting are possible.

Each wall panel of this Shire apex shed is manufactured from 12mm shiplap FSC Certified timber. A base coat preservative has been used to prepare the shed for a top coat after assembly. The roof is constructed from solid board (OSB) to ease installation and the floor is tongue and groove timber. As part of the Shire shed range, it features strong 34mm square framing and is complete with a fixing kit, roof felt and installation instructions.

Base note:
The base must be flat, level and square whether this is a concrete or paving slab base or on bearers. This will level and stabilise the building, preventing excess strain on the panels that could lead to twisting and long-term damage. The level building also means the panels will fit squarely together, preventing gaps and ensuring doors close correctly.
Timber note:
Using good quality timber is the start of any good quality timber garden building. Shire garden buildings constructed using high-quality spruce under strict FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine. It provides a higher-quality finish and is slow-grown. This means a tighter grain, less sap and far fewer knots and warping occurring. In some cases, slight splits or 'shakes' may be seen in the timber. These are normal and will not affect the performance of your Garden Building.
