Description

The high-grade, slow grown, FSC Certified timber wall panels are accompanied by a solid board roof and a tongue and groove timber floor. Dip treated, the building is prepped with a base coat that is ready for your own top coat once assembled. Shire summerhouses have solid 34mm square framing. A fixing kit, roof felt and installation instructions are all provided.

Please note:

Imperial measurements are rounded so reference to the metric sizes should be made for precision. Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and for access around the outside when constructing and commencing subsequent treatment. After your order is made you will be sent a link to select a delivery day. On the morning of delivery, you will be sent live tracking information. Before assembly, a flat and level base to a sufficient size is needed. Grass, soil or gravel are not adequate as they move with the building weight.
Base note:
Your base must be flat, level and square whether this is a concrete or paving slab base or on bearers. This way the building is level and stable and there is a lack of excess strain on the panels that could result in twisting or long-term damage. The building staying level further means the panels fit squarely together to stop gaps and keep doors closed properly.
Timber note:
A good quality timber garden building benefits from good quality timber. Common timber for garden buildings is pine, however Shire buildings are constructed with high-quality spruce under strict FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidance. Spruce is better in durability and has a higher quality finish. Slow grown timber results in a tighter grain and less sap with fewer knots and warping. Slight splits or 'shakes' might be visible in the timber but these are normal and will not affect the performance.
