With ample room for furniture, it will provide you with a delightful and visually pleasing garden retreat where you can relax and enjoy your garden.

Fabricated from high-grade, slow-grown, FSC-certified timber, this Barclay Shiplap Corner Summerhouse is dip treated with a base coating so it's ready for you to add your topcoat after construction. The floor is tongue and groove timber while the roof is produced from solid board. Featuring robust 34mm square framing, it comes complete with installation instructions, roof felt and a fixing kit.

  • The imperial measurements are rounded so please follow the metric sizes for accuracy. You should make an allowance for access around the exterior and for the roof overhang during installation and subsequent treatment. After you have ordered, you will be sent a link to select your delivery day. On the morning of, you will also receive live tracking information.
  • Base note:
  • Please make certain that your base is square, level and flat whether this is on bearers or a paving slab or a concrete base. This ensures the building is stable and level and inhibits excess strain on the panels that could lead to long-term damage/twisting. The building remaining level also means the panels will fit neatly together, preventing gaps and ensuring the doors close properly.
  • Timber note:
  • A good quality timber garden building begins with quality timber. The most frequently used timber for garden buildings is pine. Shire buildings are produced using high-quality spruce under strict Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and delivers a higher-quality finish. The timber is slow-grown which means far fewer knots and warping, less sap and tighter grain. In some circumstances, 'shakes' or slight splits might appear in the timber. These are normal and will not impact the performance of your garden building.
  • Delivery is restricted to mainland England and Wales. If you are unsure whether your postcode is excluded, please call us to confirm.

A nominal 12mm.

Do summer houses need a concrete base?

Answer:

You can just have it on soil, however best case scenario is a concrete base; a concrete slab base is also a good option. This is because overtime soil will move, and the shed along with it if there is nothing inbetween.
