Description

Manufactured from 12mm shiplap FSC Certified timber, the wall panels of this Shire apex shed come with a base layer preservative which is ready for you to add a top coating after assembly. The roof is produced from solid board (OSB) to ensure an easy installation process while the floor is constructed from tongue and groove timber. With strong 34mm square framing, this Shire shed comes complete with a fixing kit, roof felt and installation instructions.

Base note:
Please ensure that your base is flat, level and square whether this is a concrete or paving slab base or on bearers. This ensures the building is level and stable and prevents excess strain on the panels that could lead to twisting/long-term damage. The building staying level also means the panels will fit squarely together, preventing gaps and ensuring the doors close correctly.
Timber note:
A good quality timber garden building starts with good quality timber. The most commonly used timber for garden buildings is pine. Shire buildings are constructed using high-quality spruce under strict FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and provides a higher-quality finish. The timber is slow grown which means a tighter grain, less sap and far less knows and warping occurring. In some cases, slight splits or 'shakes' may be seen in the timber. These are normal and will not affect the performance of your garden building.
