Description

This GRC 450mm Universal Three Hole Crested Angle Ridge is in the colour Terracotta and is suitable for 18° to 37° roof pitches. Made from cement-based materials and reinforced with glass fibres, this product consists of Portland cement, sand, glass fibres and pigment. With water-based paint to coat the surface, the product is uniform as well as high in strength and durability.

For wet fix ridge fixing, find the top course of special short slates for the necessary ridge coverage. When a socketed ridge is used, locate and place overlapping sockets away from prevailing weather conditions. Neatly edge bed the ridges in mortar (three parts sharp sand and one part Portland cement) and solid bed the ridge tile joints. To optimise the ridge and mortar bond, a proprietary bonding agent is combined with cement and applied to the underside of the ridge. Mechanical fixings should be used when needed to BS 5534 Part 1. 2003 and current codes of practice. Solid bed the end of the end ridge tile and Hips - Fix when essential an appropriate hip iron into the base of the hip rafter. Cut the bottom hip tile to line up with the eaves and finish bedding and pointing neatly. Mortar should not be applied in circumstances that are cold, wet or very warm.
