Perfect for ensuring a solid and stable foundation for all sheds, playhouses, log stores, summerhouses and more, this 500mm x 500mm x 40mm EcoBase Fastfit Shed Base Grid is an affordable and easy-to-install alternative to traditional paving flags or wet-mix concrete. Each grid is made from 100% recycled plastics, making them not only environmentally friendly but also lightweight and easy to lift, carry and manoeuvre into position.
Its integral T-shaped self-fastening connectors snap the grids together with minimal effort, and without the need for any expertise or specialist tools. Once installed, thanks to its ingenious grid design, the Fastfit base grid also guarantees superb drainage capabilities, allowing rainwater to drain through the cavities and keep the floor bearers dry and well-ventilated.
If installing on top of your lawn without removing the grass, cut your grass short and add a cover with a good layer of builders' sand. For a flat, stable finish, use a wooden plank to smooth over the surface. If you wish to remove the turf before installing your Fastfit base, remove a 50mm deep layer of turf and then rake the exposed area level, removing any large or sharp stones. If required, also add a thin layer of builders' sand.
