Mixer Showers
Mixer showers are a modern alternative to classic shower designs. Instead of two separate outputs for hot and cold water, a mixer shower valve uses two inputs for each temperature. These inputs are combined within the shower bar, making it easier to control the temperature when using the shower system.
Also known as a thermostatic shower valve, a mixer shower valve is essential for protecting against sudden temperature changes when water is used elsewhere in the property. For the best hot water input, higher-pressure systems are recommended, such as combi boilers or pumped gravity systems. If you have a low-pressure system, you will typically need a shower pump for extra pressure, but always check which pressure is required before installing.
