The Siltguard 300mm Silt Trap for 110mm and 160mm Pipework with Filter Basket and Access Cover is designed to efficiently capture and eliminate silt and debris from runoff originating from impermeable surfaces such as driveways, car parks, roads and roofs. Its integration into Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) enhances the primary treatment of surface water runoff, contributing to improved water quality downstream and enhancing the sustainability of downstream attenuation systems.
Measuring 300mm in diameter, this model ensures quick and straightforward installation and is suitable in granular surrounds. As a factory-built unit, it arrives on-site ready for installation, streamlining the process. The robust, impact-resistant rota-moulded base incorporates four moulded pipe spigots that accommodate both 110mm and 160mm diameter EN 1401 pipe fittings, along with two additional 110mm side inlet pipe spigots. All spigots have blind ends, providing flexibility for on-site customisation.
The unit's integral filter basket boasts an alloy filter screen that not only slows down the flow but it also effectively removes larger silt particles and debris, including leaves. The basket's telescopic stainless steel handle, designed for improved comfort during lifting, facilitates easy maintenance. With a full basket weighing approximately 18kg, it is manageable for a single person to lift.
