Product Description

Polypipe Polystorm soakaway and attenuation crates are 40 tonne rated and 1m3 can be made up of 5 crates.

Designed for use in lightly trafficked and loaded applications with a load bearing capacity of 40 tonnes/m². The standard Polystorm cellular unit is designed for areas of light to moderate loading. An efficient and versatile solution for SUDS compliant attenuation or soakaway, it is hard-wearing, light weight and provides a 95% void ratio for maximum water capture and retention.

With a quick yet robust interlocking mechanism, they can be combined to create a strong, flexible tank below hard surfaces to store water channelled from building guttering and surface drains. By offering a completely bespoke approach to subsurface water storage, Polystorm gives specifiers and contractors the opportunity to create a wholly unique design to suit the exact demands of their development.

Each unit includes 4 clips and 2 shear connectors. Please note that brick bond connector may be required at additional cost.

Answer:

This is the price per crate - and 5 crates make up 1 cubic metre.

The product certainly does the job, although one may wonder at first is it strong enough to hold weight of light traffic that will be on top of it. Value for money? £50 approximately for each crate is a bit expensive making my order over £240 with carriage, all to be put in a hole.
