ROOTGUARD (Non-Woven) Geotechnics has been created to protect buildings, walls, paths, drainage pipes, cables and lawns from and potential damage which may have been caused by root development. When plant roots grow close to the surface or an object, they can cause severe structural damage, if your structure has shallow foundations then this can be undermined. Roots can get into damaged pipes or pipes with faulty joints and block them, roots can also cause subsidence or cracks. Manufactured from polypropylene/polyethylene fibres, this provides outstanding resistance to root development, in both commercial and domestic uses. It has both high tensile strengths, along with a high resistance to punctures. This product has a predicted life expectancy of more than 25 years, this is with it being installed within the correct conditions - soil within the PH range of 2 to 14 and temperatures of less than 25°.
