Containing a highly effective and specific growth regulator called Cyromazine, this Maggots larvicide is a water-soluble granular larvicide which is easy to use, simply sprayed after dilution in water or directly sprinkled on slurry. This treatment prevents larvae from developing which ultimately stops the fly cycle so flies will be eradicated.
Offering a long residual effect, this Maggots larvicide is safe to use around livestock. With potentially up to 7,000 maggots in 1kg of muck, issues from flies can occur very rapidly. They are to blame for numerous diseases in your poultry or livestock house including Brachyspira and Salmonella which can drastically decrease production levels or, in the worst cases, shut down your farm. Helping to minimise the liquefaction of manure, this larvicide ensures an easier removal of muck to subsequently save time and money as well as produce higher quality manure.
Proven to reduce ammonia, this Maggots larvicide also helps to diminish odour, therefore decreasing ventilation costs. Additionally, a reduction in the fly population has been shown to improve productivity in animal housing. This larvicide is commonly used in refuse and refuse transfer sites, horse stables, goat and sheep units, pig breeding and pig fattening units, calf and dairy units and poultry houses.
Fly larvae typically feed in the top four inches/100mm of muck so it is important that this Maggots larvicide is applied in four inch/100mm layers.
