Harmer SML stands at the forefront of cast iron technology, producing dry-jointed systems that can tolerate accidental damage or vandalism. Systems are not only robust and long-lasting but also effortless to install and recyclable due to their lightweight cast iron structures.
Both pipes and fittings are constructed from grey iron to DIN 1691 (surpassing BS 1452 Grade 150 ISO 185 Grade 15). Harmer SML pipes are available in 3m lengths with diameters between 50mm and 400mm and feature protective coatings. Epoxy coats the interior (minimum thickness of 120 µm) and primer coats the exterior (minimum thickness of 40 µm). Similarly, fittings have been coated with epoxy (minimum thickness of 60 µm) internally and externally, significantly reducing the need for maintenance over the system's lifespan.
Versatile and compatible with several installations, including rainwater installations alongside Harmer Roof Outlets, soil and waste pipework systems can accommodate pipework connections to stack to underground sewer connections. You can assemble and connect your system quickly and easily, making the most of stainless steel and ductile cast iron couplings and socketless fixing of pipes and fittings that lack the need for special installation equipment.
Harmer SML is high in strength and non-combustible, eliminating the need for fire protection collars. It has gained certifications from BBA and Kitemark and complies with CE Mark and BS EN 877 standards.
