Harmer aluminium horizontal shower drain is designed with a stainless steel clamp with a star grate drain cap and a 150mm x 150mm tile frame. For cleaning, replacements or to give access to the 50mm trap below, the drain cap is easily removable. The horizontal Harmer shower drain body is also compatible with 56mm cast iron, HDPE and PVC pipes. Complete with an integral fall in the sump to eliminate silt collection. A removable 50mm foul air trap is also included for maintenance purposes.
Thanks to the use of LM6 aluminium alloy in its manufacturing, this product is exceptionally lightweight, durable and strong. A polyester powder coating has also been applied for increased protection. When it comes to flow rate, the shower drain offers a flow rate of up to 0.8 litres a second. Ideal for application in timber and concrete floors, these drains can also be fitted with one of many caps in the range. As well as grates in stainless steel, nickel bronze and aluminium for tiled and sheet flooring.
Harmer shower drains have been designed with specific standards in mind. As such, this drain meets the requirements of British and European standard BS EN 1253 for design, flow performance and loading. Providing an attractive and efficient shower drain that avoids disrupting the aesthetics of the room. The shower drain body is manufactured from 100% recycled aluminium. A fully recyclable product when reaches the end of its life cycle. To create the drain bodies as in marine conditions and general atmospheric conditions, LM6 aluminium alloy is used in its manufacturing. This material displays high resistance to corrosion.
When considering its loading capacity, the drain can withstand up to 300kg of vertical loading. You can also opt for security fixings for drain caps in areas where the cap may otherwise be tampered with.
