Harmer ABS shower drains are manufactured to offer high flow drainage rates from a plastic compound body without compromising on hygiene, style or durability. The ABS compound used in the shower drains is treated with an antimicrobial layer. This is what contributes to improved hygiene and the reduction of bacterial growth. ABS is also a non-toxic material and 100% recyclable after use.
Quality reassurance is provided with the shower drain meeting the BS EN 1253 requirements of design, flow, and load testing. The material also ensures great impact resistance and is more secure thanks to an under-ribbed flange. Whether you're fitting in a domestic residential bathroom or a public bathroom, this shower drain cap can be great for public areas, with security fixings available on request to prevent unauthorised access or removal of the cap.
If security fixings do need removing, the top access trap in vertical and horizontal ABS plastic can be taken off and replaced with ease. A connection to PVC pipes can be made using connectors, but the recommendation is the ABS shower drain is connected directly to ABS solvent cement pipes.
