Compatible with the Cast Iron Notts OG rainwater gutters, this external stopend can be used at the end of the gutter run to close off the guttering. Manufactured from reliable, durable and strong cast iron, this stopend has been tried and tested, withstanding multiple difficulties such as vandalism, on-site handling and mechanical de-blocking.
This fully sustainable stopend is made from infinitely recyclable cast iron, can survive the long life of a building and will not end up in a landfill like plastic. Suitable for bespoke, unique and new designs as well as conservation, restoration, heritage and refurbishment work on domestic, public, industrial or commercial buildings, this stopend has minimal maintenance requirements. With suggested annual inspections once installed, remedial action is not normally needed. This non-combustible and flame resistant stopend does not require fire collars or extra lagging etc and has good sound dampening properties with minimal expansion and contraction in extreme temperatures and no rattling in high winds.
Available in painted black or primed, this stopend is painted internally and externally. The painted black stopend provides a good paint finish which is vital to the performance and longevity of your gutters, protecting the underlying substrate by creating a barrier between the corroding elements and Cast Iron. The primed stopend is coated in a dark grey primer which provides a surface for subsequent coats of paint to easily adhere to. Providing temporary protection to the surface, the primed layer creates a barrier to corrosion until it can be overcoated with Acrylic, Epoxy or Polyurethane paint.
