Designed to meet and surpass the rigorous requirements of the drainage marketplace, this adaptor coupling from Fernco (formerly Flexseal) delivers a solution for numerous adaptation situations. It can be used to connect pipelines that are different materials such as metal, cast iron and vitrified clay pipes.
Including a step-moulded elastomeric sleeve with differing diameters at each end, this adaptor coupling is fitted with two stainless steel clamping bands that offer an effective method for joining pipes that have various outer diameters. This ensures it is cost-effective, eliminating potential bush requirements. It is also suitable for connecting all new and traditional pipe systems including structural walled plastic pipes.
Special ranges of adaptor couplings integrate an extra wide clamping band at one end and are also available for ribbed pipe systems. The clamping band fastens against two or more external ribs on the plastic ribbed pipe to ensure a high-performance seal regardless of the coupling movement or position.
