Clearwater shallow dig cesspools are a great option for off-mains buildings where the surrounding area means it’s not possible to install a soakaway to go hand in hand with a septic tank or sewage treatment plant. Clearwater cesspools are for use in situations where there is a high winter water table, where the area of installation is a protected zone or if the soil it will be installed in to is the wrong type to allow a drainage field to be installed.
These shallow dig cesspools have 1 inlet and a lid, which can be removed for the contents to be pumped out by a specialist operator. As a total containment tank, these shallow dig cesspools from Clearwater can be used for the storage of surface water, animal waste, as rainwater harvesting reservoirs and as firefighting reservoirs in areas where there are no mains connections. This cesspool cannot be used for the storage of drinking water.
