The SML range by Harmer offers a durable cast-iron underground drainage solution. Designed to ensure access for inspections and rodding, this Cast Iron Drain Pipe Access Branch with an 88-degree curve can help your system fit around specific bent corners. Built for dry-jointed pipework systems below-ground, it allows for direct connection from soil to drain to sewer under SFA.
This SML branch is lightweight, measuring 100mm in length for effortless handling. Easy to transport and quick to assemble with twin screw couplings, you can select ductile iron or stainless-steel couplings depending on your requirements. Without the need for special installation equipment, it helps minimise the costs spent fitting it into your system. Due to its cast iron construction, the system is long-lasting and recyclable after use. It also requires minimal maintenance. If damage does occur, it is quick and simple to reinstall if needed.
An epoxy coat is on the exterior and interior of this branch, with a minimum thickness of 60µm, further improving its usage capability below ground as part of a system. Its high tensile strength, made possible using cast iron, also enhances its resistance to external accidental damage and vandalism. Thanks to its resistance to fire, it has non-combustible capabilities, which means fire protection collars are not a necessity.
For peace of mind and quality assurance, the cast iron construction is manufactured and tested according to European Standard BS EN 877 under Construction Products Regulation 2013. Compliance measures include BBA Agrément certification, Kitemarking and CE Mark conformity, ensuring the system has over 30 years of use across Europe. The design of this branch also has excellent noise attenuation tested to BS EN 14366:2004 standards.
