These blank ends are part of the Hargreaves 'Traditional Express' range of durable and dependable cast iron soil pipes. Using naturally tough and resilient cast iron and specially developed gloss paint, this system of pipes and fittings is designed for a full century of dependable performance. Naturally strong, and resistant to a wide range of undesirable factors such as distortion and vibration, cast iron is highly effective at deadening sound whilst in use, as well as the inevitable wear through normal use. Highly sustainable, this soil system utilises a simple and straightforward push-fit socket system, sealing with two EPDM gaskets for a tight and reliable seal.
A perfect pairing for traditional properties and listed buildings, the Traditional Express range is practically indistinguishable from older 'caulked lead' designs, giving you an excellent combination of old aesthetics and new materials. Manufactured to BS416 part 2, Traditional Express pipes and fittings come pre-painted in specially developed rich black gloss, ready to install. Superlatively long-lasting, these products can - if correctly installed - easily last in excess of 100 years, leaps and bounds ahead of plastic variations. This system is available in three variants: eared, plain and slip-eared.
