Hargreaves Foundry has manufactured this cast iron soil pipe offset bend with aesthetics and longevity in mind. Part of the Traditional Express range, this bend utilises push-fit sockets fitted with rubber sealing gaskets. This enables the jointing of 100mm socketless pipes and fittings. The push-fit technology is also cost-effective, maximising savings in labour for each joint. Especially when full installation instructions are provided so specialist training is not required.

Appearance-wise, the Traditional Express range perfectly replicates the appearance of a caulked lead jointed system. Using contemporary cast iron not only ensures a heritage aesthetic look of traditional LCC soil systems but makes it a suitable solution for listed properties and conservation properties. It also comes pre-painted in specially developed black gloss paint, ensuring it is ready to install and offering increased additional time saving on site.

The benefits of cast iron aren't limited to aesthetics. Manufactured to BS 416 part 2 standard, the material is greatly admired for its sustainable and durable structure. If correctly installed, it can even last over 100 years with minimal maintenance required. The material also has sound-deadening properties, making it particularly suitable for soil and waste solutions. Better yet, after serving the needs of a building for its lifetime it can be fully recycled and not 'downcycled'.
