This cast iron soil access pipe with a round door from Hargreaves Foundry serves as a great 'fit-and-forget' solution for most above-ground drainage applications. Combining great strength with improved surface coatings, this system is especially important if the pipework is concealed, inaccessible and where maintenance would disrupt occupants of the building.
The soil access pipe works well as part of a complete system for the conveyance of wastewater and rainwater through a building as far as the sewer. As part of the Halifax Soil range, the mechanically jointed socketless system is fully compliant with BS EN 877:1999 and A1:2006 Incorporating Corrigendum 2008. It also comes complete with a certification by BSI Kitemark and BBA. Rigorous tests ensure BS EN 877 is met, with independent tests taking place annually to maintain that desired quality. As the pipe is manufactured with cast iron, the product can be fully recycled and not 'downcycled' after serving the needs of the building.
