Hargreaves Mech 416 cast iron soil system is a fit and forget solution and offers a modern alternative to traditional soil systems, especially for industrial and commercial buildings. The simple and reliable couplings make it particular suitable for repair and extension projects.

Cast Iron is a sustainable material. This means that after serving the needs of a building for its lifetime it can be fully recycled, not downcycled. Correctly installed cast iron systems can last in excess of 100 years with minimal maintenance requirements.

Mech 416 soil is a mechanically jointed range of socketless cast iron pipes and fittings in 50mm to 150mm diameters suitable for above ground soil and waste installations.

The system is manufactured to meet the standards of BS 416 (part 2), and is finished in a matt black two part epoxy coating.

Mechanically jointed systems provide all the benefits of a conventional BS416 socket and spigot cast iron soil system but also offer significant labour savings due to the efficient jointing techniques employed.
