As part of the Hargreaves Mech 416 cast iron soil system which is a range of socketless pipes and fittings, this soil pipe is the ideal fit-and-forget solution. Offering a contemporary alternative to traditional soil systems, it is especially suited for commercial and industrial buildings in above-ground soil and waste installations.
Manufactured from cast iron, this soil pipe can be completely recycled instead of downcycled after operating for the needs of your building throughout its lifetime. When correctly installed, it can last over 100 years with minimal maintenance requirements. Made to meet the standards of BS 416 (part 2), it has a matt black finish which is a two-part epoxy coating.
This soil pipe is suitable for a wide variety of applications including retail buildings and car parks, offices and commercial units, apartment and hotel developments, public buildings, hospitals and schools and refurbishment projects.
Mechanically jointed, this soil pipe system delivers all the benefits of a conventional BS416 socket and spigot cast iron soil system but with the added advantage of ensuring substantial labour savings thanks to the efficient joint techniques applied. The reliable and simple couplings of the Mech 416 system are particularly suitable for extension and repair projects.
