Flame resistant and non-combustible, this hopper head does not require extra lagging or fire collars etc. Infinitely recyclable, it can endure the long life of a building, is fully sustainable and unlike plastic will not end up in a landfill.
With excellent noise-dampening properties, this hopper head will not rattle in high winds and sustains very little contraction and expansion in extreme temperatures, so it will not creak or click. It is ideal for heritage, refurbishment, conservation and restoration work as well as new, bespoke and unique designs on industrial, commercial, domestic or public buildings.
With minimal maintenance requirements once installed, this hopper head requires annual inspections, but remedial action is not normally needed. Delivering a good paint finish which is vital to its performance and longevity, it is painted black, by paint specialists in factory conditions, which protects the underlying substrate by providing a barrier between the corroding elements and the cast iron.
