MDPE Gas Pipe Coils
MDPE gas pipe coils are the perfect choice when selecting gas pipes for below-ground. MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) is incredibly lightweight and flexible, making it easy to install with no extra fittings required when fitting around corners. MDPE gas pipes also have good chemical abrasion resistance, which adds to their overall durability and increases the lifespan of yellow gas pipes.
Our yellow gas pipe coils have been manufactured from MDPE and consist of a solid wall single-layer polyethylene pipe, with a black PE80 inner and a yellow PE80 outer for identification purposes. In the UK, for safety purposes, yellow coils and pipes are recognised as identifying that gas is within the pipe and are generally used below ground. Moreover, MDPE gas pipes laid underground must be installed by qualified tradespeople, and we recommend installing gas pipes in protective ducts with a label to identify the pipe as containing gas.
