This Wrekin recessed manhole cover has a 100mm tray depth to accept block paving of 80mm. The recessed manhole allows for a sleek design of outdoor areas, helping to keep patterns and finishes in a continuous design. It is perfect for areas where a standard steel manhole appearance would disrupt the continuity of the view, service area or commercial area.
The mild steel used has been galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 standards to ensure the highest quality solution. The frame and cover also accept bedding mortar more reliably than plastic alternatives for a stable and durable product.
You can install this handy manhole cover in medium-duty areas. It has a Gross Laden Vehicle Weight (GLVW) of 25 tonnes and a small moving wheel load for pneumatic tyres of up to 5 tonnes, a great option if you prioritise longevity, especially when the keyways have been reinforced as a standard to help avoid distortion when lifting the cover.
