Getting flat decks made of timber on terraces, balcony flooring and roofs is easy when using Wallbarn’s TD adjustable pedestals.
These pedestals make installation quicker and more long-lasting: boards of decking fix to the joist framework, which is then fixed to pedestals, holding it in position as a suspended system. A telescopic stem lets users get just the height they need for their frame, giving a flat and level finish. Laying timbers directly at the subdeck will damage the roofing’s waterproofing, so avoid this at all costs.
The TD comes with baseplates that evenly distribute weight, and the design ensures that water is not left to sit, thus making your decking retain its integrity longer. These pedestals also help improve drainage. Joists are easy to fit into the 4-6 cm gaps between peg fittings at the product’s headpiece. 1000kg can be tolerated by a unit and it will not go brittle from cold, as it’s been CATAS certified at plus 20 and minus 40 degrees centigrade.
This innovative pedestal, made from polypropylene, ranges from 3.5cm to 38cm high. If you're faced with the task of creating roofs where levels change by little or irregular degrees, or when there are multiple complex changes along the roof, or continual falls stretching across big areas, these tools are the perfect companion. Do not let gaps between pedestals exceed 600mm.
