Wallbarn Megapad’s heavy duty composition lets it uphold suspended paving that needs significant weight tolerance and high clearance. It’s a smart choice for using with podium decking, terraces, balconies and more. Massive weight tolerance to a pad and resistance to -40C temperatures are just two of the many benefits. They’re also swift and simple to install, adjustable to millimetre levels, and fully reversible: flip them, fit lugs, then slabs on columns, parapets or walls can be built using the product. Though adjustable, they also lock in place, meaning that they won’t unwind over time.
While they may be technically ‘flat’, all roofs need to incorporate a small fall for drainage purposes. Megapads provide drainage via the lugs, which create small gaps between paving slabs while guaranteeing a straight run of paving. The water seeps through the gaps into the roofing’s cavity underneath, which also provides ventilation and a chamber to hide cabling and wires.
The suspended-system design means that it’s simply the load’s weight that holds it in place. Lugs, shims, correctors and further accessories are all available for a complete solution. Strong polypropylene composition ensures protection against cold and they’ve been tested by CATAS to cope with temperatures hitting +20C and minus 40. They’re able to handle 1,560kg weight per unit and come in a range of sizes, from 35mm to 1,020mm.
