Crafted from stainless steel for durability, this Harmer SML Cast Iron Underground Drain Pipe Coupling is easy to install alongside cast iron pipework. It seamlessly incorporates into the dry-jointed pipework system, which is designed to resist accidental external damage and vandalism across several applications. Constructing your system becomes effortless with the twin screw coupling, ensuring secure connections.
Alongside the ductile and stainless steel couplings, this comprehensive soil and waste pipework system is formed with socketless fixing between pipe and fittings without the burden of special installation equipment. It caters to almost every aspect of installation, spanning from pipework connections to stack to underground sewer connections. Ideal for rainwater installations when paired with Harmer Roof Outlets, the system features 3m long pipes and diameters ranging from 50mm to 400mm.
Pipes and fittings are meticulously crafted from grey iron, adhering to DIN 1691 standards (exceeding BS 1452 Grade 150 ISO 185 Grade 15), while couplings include stainless steel and ductile cast iron constructions. Primer coatings (minimum thickness of 40 µm) adorn pipe exteriors, complemented by an epoxy coating (minimum thickness of 120 µm) on their interiors. In contrast, fittings are coated both externally and internally with an epoxy layer (minimum thickness of 60 µm) for less maintenance throughout their service life.
Harmer SML is at the leading edge of cast iron technology, boasting BBA and Kitemark certification, full compliance with BS EN 877 standards, and CE Mark conformity. The system is non-combustible without the need for fire protection collars and exhibits high tensile strength.
