If you’re looking for a fine-grained aggregate, consider grano dust. It’s very lightweight and is most commonly mixed with cement in order to make a fine concrete. It tends to be popular for use as flooring screeds, but can also be used to form a layer underneath artificial grass.
If it’s an above-ground project you’re working on, decorative aggregates such as pea gravel or macadam are more obvious choices. Pea gravel comes in a range of colours and is a good garden gravel to use in flowerbeds, on walkways and in high traffic areas.
